My My My, Time Sure Does Fly

When you think about a year from now, it seems like you have plenty of time. Doesn't it? At least it used to feel that way. The older I get, the more I realize just how fast a year really is.

Beth Moore, one of my favorite authors, puts it in perspective like this:

Think of 1,000 years. Now 1/2 that. Did everyone come up with 500 years? Good. Now 1/2 that. 250? Now 1/2 that. Everyone should have come up with 125. If you didn't, get off the computer and go back to school. Okay, after all that math........we still haven't even hit the average lifetime of a human. Crazy huh? We think our life is so long, but the bible says it is just a vapor....a breath.

I know I'm getting a little deep here, but as I look at these 2 pictures, I am amazed at how quickly our children have grown.

Robin and I have been best friends for a long time. Since middle school. We've known each other since 3rd grade. It is such a blessing and a dream fulfilled that we are all grown up and still the best of friends. Our children play together. Well, her kids kinda watch out for my kids.....they are a few years older....but still, we are like family. I'm so blessed that we have been able to vacation together for the past couple of years. I just couldn't believe the difference one year has made in our children.

Look at Jacob! I think he's grown at least 7 feet since last year.....

I haven't cut Lauren's hair at all since last year and this is all we have.....her hair grows extremely slow.

Michael has quite a few less teeth. And less hair thanks to his self-haircut.....:)

Hannah is becoming a young woman before my eyes. I changed her diapers, ya'll. That's not the least bit funny.

I know most of us are in the same boat. I am incredibly thankful that my children are healthy and growing like they should. Sometimes I want to rush it, but being at home this week without them is giving my time to realize how short the time is.

Away at Camp

Hey Ya'll, I'm at Super Summer camp this week. My grandmother is okay. She asked my twice who my kids belonged to. She is 91 and she has lived a very long life. I appreciate everyone asking about her. See you all when I get back.

Good Mommy Or Bad Mommy...you decide

All three of my children can now sing and dance and know the chorus to this little number.....

We just got back from a short trip to Flagler Beach. We had such a great time and I will be posting pics when we get back from my mom's.

My Mae Mae (my grandma) isn't doing very well. She's 91 and has dimensia. I'm on my way to see her for what may be the last time. It's really weird to think about that.

Then I'm headed to camp for a week. Very busy couple of weeks ahead. I can't really wrap my head around what I need to do today before I leave, so I need to get my hiney in gear.
