We wanted to be there right when the park opened, but we didn't account for traffic on I-4 nor did we anticipate the lengthy bus rides. You see, in an attempt to be as frugal as possible, Eric and I decided that we would save the $14 parking fee per day and park at Downtown Disney for free.
And yes, we did save money, but we didn't get into the park until 11 a.m. Fortunately, we were just in time to see the Move and Shake Parade.
(to listen click the words)
So, that totally freaked the girls out. They weren't exactly as excited as I had hoped. Michael thought it was really cool. I think the girls were just completely overwhelmed with the reality of where we were. It was a lot to take in all at once. Nevertheless, it was completely awesome! I was bustin' a move with Mickey, Donald and Michael. We were front row and we actually did the conga line with them as well!
Then, of course, we posed for the castle picture. You can.not go to Disney without one of these....
We got to see all the princesses dance in front of Cinderella's castle, which was larger than life! Emily asked me, "Mom, is that really Sleeping Beauty?" I, of course, told her, "Yep, that's her." She proceeded to scream out "SLEEPING BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!" trying to get her attention. It was so adorable.
After we watched this show, we went on rides. I have many more pics and I will post them on Facebook. It's just too time consuming to try to get them all on here. And I know it's never as fun for the person reading as it was for the person who experienced it to sit and read about every jot and tittle of our family vacation.....so......click here and you can view the rest of our pics on Facebook.
In summary (I feel like I'm writing a report for school.....:)), we had a very fun, very exhausting, and very memorable trip to the Happiest Place On Earth. Thanks to Heather, for all your help and advice! It really made our trip easier! Love ya!

I was so glad to help! And I'm serious about the offer to make a scrapbook...think about it.
Love the pics! Michael looks like he had an absolute blast...the girls look a little cranky :)
Love ya right back! Counting down the days til June!
It looks like you guys had a great time! Going the cheap route and it kind of sucking sounds exactly like what would happen to us! Darn expensive parking!
When Sophie is just a little bit older we'll take her there, it'll be my first time, too!
Glad y'all had a great time! I can't wait to take my girls back to Disney.
Hope you have a relaxing Mother's Day, too! XOXOXO
