We Don't Need No Stinking Pool

I'm so glad we finally have grass in our backyard! It's been 2 years of a dirt filled yard and we finally have some green!!!!!

The kids have enjoyed playing in the sprinklers and last night we made a red-neck waterslide!!! We are so clever....yes, we are.....

They played in the back yard for several hours last night. We try to wait for the sun to go down, since all three of my children have fair complexions. That way they can run around without fear of burning.

So, we have spent our days going stir crazy inside. There's not much to do in these parts.

Do you have any suggestions for cheap, fun, clean indoor activities?

OMGoodness, I love how green your grass is looking. YAY for you and no more dirt back yard.

Clean, cheap indoor activities: make the kids clean up their rooms. When they gripe, state that they could be outside pulling weeds and cutting grass with a pair of scissors. Worked everytime when I was a kid.....LOL

Legos, art, boardgames (we love Life and Monopoly), videogames, dance parties, teach them to cook, read a book together, listen to a book on CD, make a scrapbook of your Disney trip (with their help), go to the library or a local park for a picnic.

Wow, I'm full of ideas this early in the morning. Haven't even had my coffee yet. And I'm laughing over your word verification today "pooppe".

Great pics, btw. My kids do the same thing with the hillbilly waterslide :)

A friend of mine was telling me about a great blog she had found the other day for home activities for kids. I'll ask her and let you know. Because me? Hopeless when it comes to that kind of stuff. When God was handing out talents, he skipped over me in the "ways to keep kids busy" department. Of course, he made up for it in beauty. And modesty. (Kidding, OF COURSE!)
